| Bonzai Scores Grammy with Stephen Marley | |
Congratulations are in order for our friend and colleague, James "Bonzai" Caruso as he has just received his third Grammy award. This award was for his engineering and mixing work on Stephen Marley's "Mind Control" which took home the 2008 Grammy for Best Reggae Album. Stephen was working in our Studio 7 with Bonzai for a few sessions, last year. We wish Bonzai the best in his new endeavor in Las Vegas. May you have even more success than you've had here in New York.

| Raphaël and Tony Visconti | |
| Producer and Engineer Tony Visconti was recently working in Studio 4 with EMI France artist Raphaël on his newest album, "Je sais que la terre est plate". Manhattan Center's Halsey Quemere assisted the sessions. Manhattan Center would like to congratulate Raphaël on the album's #1 debut and best wishes on future success.

| Mary J. Blige Records Storytellers in Hammerstein Ballroom | |
Music television network VH1 chose Manhattan Center to record the performance of Mary J. Blige for the newest installment of their "Storytellers" series. The show took place in the Hammerstein Ballroom and the audio recording of the performance was captured in our Studio 7.

| Across the Universe Receives Critical Acclaim | |
The film "Across The Universe" directed by Julie Taymor was recently nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album. An All-star list of music producers including Elliot Goldenthal, T-Bone Burnett, and Teese Gohl were up for the Grammy. Manhattan Center would like to congratulate those involved with this film - a true work of art.
The 5.1 surround sound mixes for the film's deep score were performed in our Log Cabin recording studio by engineers Brandon Mason and Joel Iwataki. |
